Getting Closer Now
Well it's been 21 days since my last post and to say we are very excited for our upcoming trip would be a gross understatement. We are leaving on 24th Jan 2011 and heading off to Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania with our Landcruiser and Camper Trailer fully loaded to commence our trip. Christmas is almost upon us and we are spending what will possibly be our last Christmas in Geelong with family and friends. Then we'll see in the New Year with a lot to look forward to. No need for resolutions as our dream is about to come to true We really don't have that much more to do to, after all we have been preparing for 8 months now. Just a few bits and pieces. We can't wait to post our first blog when we are actually on the road. But for now we will relax and enjoy the festive season with much anticipation. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Preparing for our Trip around Australia
After retiring from work 4 weeks ago, I have acheived much around the house to get ready for our trip. We have had one garage sale with another still to come. The kitchen is decluttered, clean and tidy. As is the laundry and the bathroom. I was brutal with my clothes, so the Brotherhood will have a field day when they receive my 5 garbage bags full of discards. Sad to see some go, but had to do it. The office has also been totally cleaned out and is a nice working space now. Greg finishes work at Christmas, so one more Christmas at home with family, a farewell party in January and then we go. The camper trailer is fully ready to go, but a few more things to do on the Cruiser. As soon as we purchase our Spirit of Tasmania ticket, it will be go. Can't wait to begin our adventure, which we have been planning for so long and is now almost upon us. We are both getting extremely excited now and look forward to posting our first blog when our adventure begins.
